According to the Associated Press, former Boston City councilor Andrea Campbell will be the Democratic nominee for attorney general, facing a one-on-one challenge from trial attorney Shannon Liss-Riordan.
Former Assistant Attorney General Quentin Palfrey dropped out last week after polls showed him consistently behind two of his opponents. He supported Campbell, praising his "dedication to public service".
Campbell served as outgoing Attorney General Maura Healy, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, and Massachusetts U.S. Attorney General Maura Healy. It also won the support of prominent Massachusetts Democrats such as Sen. Ed Markey.
